A design-build arrangement is preferred when a client wishes to work with one contract entity, instead of several contractors and consultants. As the design-builder, APM provides total design and construction services through one point of contact. By bringing all project team members together in the design phase, the construction design-build approach helps foster a more successful partnership.

Drawing on the team’s combined expertise, APM addresses project design and building construction requirements, within the budget and schedule limitations, resulting in less potential for project escalation. Also, APM can implement a fast track approach, starting construction before the total design is complete. This is important if you require the delivery of a cost-effective, quality facility on a reduced schedule.

We recognize the importance of quality control and coordination of engineering documents in construciton projects.  Our director of engineering, Ian Harper P.Eng, and our design staff are available as technicial resources for design build projects.  Ian and his team have completed numerous design build projects of varying complexity and provide valuable assistance in the pre-tender and tendering stages to ensure that all bases are covered.

Ian has led the design, budgeting, contract, and paperwork process for a variety of design build projects that APM has performed for corporate and government clients.  Over the years, Ian has taken the lead role for APM in dealing with a variety of municipal, provincial and federal authorities.
