Montague and Area Wellness Centre is a new 52,000 sq ft. facility that includes a NHL size ice surface, 2 walking tracks, library, heated skybox seating, media room and meeting rooms. The rink is equipped with a year round ice making plant and has seating for 850 people. The project was started in September 2008 and completed in July 2009 for the Canada Summer Games. The building is a combination of pre-engineered structure and conventional steel construction. Original contract price was $6.5 million, we gave a the client a cost saving to come within the budget and the final cost was $6 million.
