Charlottetown, PE – This season, the Holland Hurricanes Football players will be sporting the APM logo on their uniforms, as has signed a five-year agreement to be premier sponsor of the Holland College Hurricanes Football Club, club president Michael O’Grady announced today.
“We are delighted that has made this significant, five-year commitment to the football team. The support of all our corporate sponsors and individual booster club members is essential to the long-term viability of our club,” he said. “With this premier sponsorship, APM has demonstrated its support of our college, our team, and of the sport of football on the Island.”
Tim Banks, CEO of APM, sees the sponsorship as a way to support the college.
"APM is proud to support Holland College in every way possible," he said. "APM has had the benefit of working with and employing many Holland College graduates, so we know that the school gives its students the tools it needs to succeed in a competitive world. Giving back is our way of recognizing the fine work done by this institution in teaching the leaders of tomorrow."
The sponsorship also provides for the APM Offensive and Defensive Players of the Game, who will be recognized as the top performers each week.
The Hurricanes Football Club kick off their second year in the Atlantic Football League with a game against reigning champions the UNB St. John Seawolves Saturday, September 10th at 3 p.m. at McAdam Field at UPEI.
