Opened in 2002, the APM Centre in Cornwall is an athletic arena and community centre for 13 communities located in Queens County, PEI.The Facility consists of a rink, gymnasium/community room, a walking track and a fitness/ weight room. The rink has an ice surface and seating for about 600 people. The gymnasium is the same size as a high school gymnasium and is capable of seating 400 people for community events. The walking track circles above the gymnasium. The fitness/weight room is approximately 1200 square feet. There is also a large board room for meetings and a 1200 square foot multi-purpose room with a view of the ice surface. The facility has both a canteen and kitchen. There is parking for 250 cars and the facility is completely wheel chair accessible. By becoming the name sponsor of the building, APM has shown its support for the citizens of these 13 towns and villages, creating a facility which promotes recreation and well-being in their community.
