Prior to breaking ground on any construction project, municipalities require that the proper zoning and licensing permits be obtained.
Related processes can sometimes take a number of months, and numerous meetings or negotiations can be required for them to move forward: from the application for a construction permit, complete rezoning of a parcel, current allowable use determined by each municipality, to the required allowable use for the project.
