Other Ocean & Sculpin move to 133 Queen St

Other Ocean Interactive Ltd. and Sculpin QA are leaving their founding incubator space at the Atlantic Technology Centre to a newly designed studio on the second floor of 133 Queen Street.

These sister companies will occupy the entire second floor of the building with shared common areas where APM has invested upwards of three hundred thousand dollars in a major renovation of the space, developing a uniquely styled work environment, providing the creative studio desired by the accomplished and growing companies and their innovative staff. Other Ocean is in the business of video game development and are responsible for the creation of award winning games for the world’s top video game console and electronic firms including Xbox, Sega, Nintendo and Apple. Sculpin works closely with Other Ocean and other software development firms performing quality assurance of products prior to market release. Other Ocean has studios in Charlottetown, St. John’s, Newfoundland and operates its head office in Emeryville, California.

Other Ocean and Sculpin join Pilates Dynamic Fitness at 133 Queen Street in the heart of downtown Charlottetown. APM are currently working with another software development company to provide an office and work environment suitable to meet the demands of their growing business.

This Canadian video game development company has created games for the industry’s most established publishers. The company is best known for the development of Konami’s award winning Xbox LIVE Arcade download, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Midway’s Nintendo DS release of the popular franchise Ultimate Mortal Kombat, and Sega’s Super Monkey Ball for the Apple iPhone. This month the company will release an Atlantic Canada inspired game published by Majesco, Puffins: Island Aventure for the Nintendo DS.
