Atlantic Superstore re-opens bright, modern stores in Cape Breton

SYDNEY - Inc. recently completed two renovation projects for Atlantic Superstore in North Sydney and Sydney River, Cape Breton. The combined cost of the two projects was close to 4 million dollars, with an expectation that customers’ shopping experiences will improve significantly because of the updates.

Atlantic Superstore is a Canadian supermarket chain of over 50 stores in the Maritime Provinces. It is owned by Loblaw Companies Limited and operates under the Atlantic Wholesalers division of Loblaws. Loblaw Companies Limited aims to be Canada’s best food, health, and home retailer by exceeding customer expectations through innovative products at great prices.

APM President of Construction Services Duane Lamont explains how these projects benefit Cape Breton.

“We were able to provide a lot of jobs to residents of these communities. Also, now the stores look exceptional and are able to provide a wider range of products and services than before.”

The two stores hosted open houses last week to display their new bright and modern appearance to the public.
APM has been the construction management team for multiple Loblaw projects in the past and expects to do more in the future.
