APM Vice President of Finance Terry Palmer recently presented a working perspective of “Financing Strategy and Working Capital Management” to students enrolled in the University of Prince Edward Island’s Executive Master of Business Administration (MBA) program.

Designed for today’s working professional, the executive MBA program at UPEI offers people in the workforce the opportunity to pursue graduate studies. With specialized streams of study in Innovative Management and Biotechnology Management & Entrepreneurship, the executive MBA program at the UPEI School of Business provides students with the theory, skills, experiential learning, and research opportunities to advance their knowledge and enhance their employability.

Palmer (MBA, CA) gave students insights which have developed throughout his career as APM’s Vice President of Finance and real estate analyst. Palmer explained that financing is critical for growth as he detailed the key elements of the process which has assisted the company in raising over $75 million in operational and real estate financing for APM over the past 13 years.

Palmer was pleased with the opportunity to present at the university.

“My purpose was to give the students some real-life examples and skills that they can take with them after they graduate and enter the business world.”

Jean Kimpton (MBA, CMA) instructor of UPEI’s MBA Finance course wanted to give her class an overview of how what they have covered in this course, transpires in the real world. Kimpton thanked Terry for taking the time to share his insight with the class and commented that the feedback from the students was that they found it was a very informative and a dynamic presentation.
