Shamrock Truss moves to Cornwall

Shamrock Truss, a division of Kent Building Supplies and owned by Irving, has acquired Central Truss and moved their Prince Edward Island division to the Cornwall Business Park.

A locally owned engineered roof and floor truss manufacturer, Central Truss first opened its doors in 2006. The firm utilizes modern computer and laser technology for truss design and manufacture for primarily residential, as well as commercial and industrial construction markets.

Shamrock Truss, formerly servicing Prince Edward Island from a location on Mount Edward Road, has consolidated the Central Truss assets and moved their Island based operations to the Cornwall Business Park. The new venture is a compliment to the firm’s regional coverage with locations in Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Newfoundland. Cornwall Business Park is centrally located minutes from the City of Charlottetown, provides immediate access to the Trans Canada Highway, regional labour force and the breadth of amenities offered by the Town of Cornwall and the City of Charlottetown.

The investment of the Irving group into the Cornwall Business Park and expansion of their operations on Prince Edward Island are a welcome investment that will continue to provide increased employment opportunities on the Island and in particular in the Town of Corwnall.
