New strategic vision for APM in 2012

Feb 1 2012

CHARLOTTETOWN – APM has hired a new Vice President of Business Development, John Dalton, while promoting former VP of Business Development Brian Gillis to Vice President of Real Estate.

John Dalton joins APM with twenty years of professional experience working in real estate
development and planning. Trained as a land use planner at Mount Allison University and Queen’s
University, John has held senior planning and development positions with both provincial and
municipal levels of government. Prior to joining APM John served as the Director of Real Estate for
Canada Lands Company from 2002-11 with the last five years dedicated to the residential and
commercial redevelopment of the former military base Pleasantville Station in St. John’s, NL.
Brian Gillis has been promoted to the Vice President of Real Estate, highlighting APM’s diverse
objectives as a growing company. Brian joined APM in 1995 and oversaw the real estate assets,
property management, and design-build services on the company. Brian is an architect by training
and prior to joining APM, he was a principal partner in the Island based architectural firm Gillis +
Guimond Architects. Brian has worked on APM’s largest contracts, including the development of 35
Atlantic Superstore projects throughout Atlantic Canada.

CEO Tim Banks congratulates Brian and John, and looks forward to working with them in their new
roles.

“As APM continues to grow, we need very capable people making the decisions that matter,” said
CEO Tim Banks. “Brian has done an exemplary job but we need his strategic and creative mind to
manage our growing Real Estate portfolio. John will pick up where he left off continuing to sell our
business to clients all over Canada.”

“APM’s most valuable resource is its people,” Mr. Banks continued, “and we try to cultivate the best in
all of our employees. Brian has been an incredible asset to the company since he joined over 15
years ago and he serves as an example to other people just starting with the company. His
achievements are significant, to both the company and to the rest of Atlantic Canada.”
“And we are more than pleased to welcome John aboard. He is a creative, capable, and ambitious
guy with over twenty years of experience in development. To say that we’re looking forward to
working with John is an understatement and I know that together we’ll continue building... across
Canada.”
